Welcome to Snowy Owls
In Snowy Owls class we have 6 pupils and 3 members of staff. Our pupils are in Year 3, 4 and 6 and follow our Shared Pathway.
We prioritise working on our communication and self-regulation within our curriculum and during play. We aim to teach our curriculum in a nurturing, fun, engaging and creative way to build on attention and engagement levels and promote a love of learning.
Our foundation curriculum is delivered through the Attention Autism intervention, while our English lessons feature sensory stories, fine motor activities, and Colourful Semantics. Every child follows our Romans Field Curriculum, which is personalised to their individual learning goals.
Snowy Owls follow a total communication approach which is about finding and using the right combination of communication methods for each child. This approach allows individuals with communication difficulties to communicate in the most accessible way to them. We also offer a range of interventions, such as: TACPAC, TEACCH, Intensive Interaction and Speech and Language interventions.
