Throughout our personal, social and health education and relationships and sex education lessons, children learn about their own emotions, the emotions of others and how they corelate. Throughout our lessons we also aim to promote spiritual, moral, social, and cultural (SMSC) development and the British Values of Democracy, Rule of Law, Respect and Tolerance, Individual Liberty which are essential for children’s individual development, as well as the development of society as a whole.
Through our PSHE and Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) provision children’s literacy skills will improve through access to a range of high-quality texts and resources which ensures that we are delivering a vocabulary rich PSHE and RSE curriculum. We also believe that children should have the opportunities to practice essential life-skills in a safe and supportive environment. Both are required for the successful acquisition of knowledge and skills that will enable children to live a fulfilling life.
