Romans Field School

Building Success Together - to help us all become the best version of ourselves.

Music

At Romans Field School, we have a designated music room.

We currently follow the Charanga scheme of work that looks at the different genres of music and teaches rhythm and beat as well as history of artists and composers. Our music room is fully stocked with various instruments including a drum set, ukuleles, and keyboards. We are also able to utilise the use of Garage Band and Chrome music lab on the iPads to give the children opportunities to mix and layer their sounds, creating melodies and tunes to share with others. We are also currently in the process of installing new outdoor musical instruments, the children will be able to access these during their free time and will encourage and support their learning beyond the classroom.

“M-usic, U-nlocks, S-elf-expression, I-ntelligence, C-reativity.” – Anonymous.

“Music can change the world.” – Ludwig Van Beethoven.

“Everything in the universe has a rhythm, everything dances.” – Maya Angelou.

With music you can be any of these and more: DJ, entertainer, computer games developer, tv or film sound technician.
