At Romans Field School children are taught religious education from Year 1 to Year 8 using the Milton Keynes Locally Agreed Syllabus, 2025-20230 alongside Kapow scheme of work. Pupils study a range of Abrahamic and Dharmic religions as well as non-religious worldviews as a part of understanding how the world works and what it means to be a human.

Through the scheme of learning, children will build their conceptual knowledge through studying religions and worldviews locally, nationally and globally, enabling them to make links and connections between worldviews. They will also develop disciplinary skills of theology, human science, and philosophy and build on their understanding of their positionality in relation to their learning. It is relevant to pupils, reflecting and preparing them for life in modern Britain.

By visiting key ‘big questions’ and building on prior knowledge, pupils will learn and expand upon how religions and worldviews are lived experiences across the world, and how different worldviews, religious and non-religious, influence individuals, communities and society, and have opportunities to consider their personal worldviews. A holistic approach to Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural development (SMSC) and British Values, focuses on preparing pupils for life in the 21st century.
